If you do not turn up at the agreed meeting point or appointment, the voucher loses its validity. Delays of more than 30 minutes beyond the scheduled flight time will also be considered as non-compliance with the deadline.
It goes without saying that we have taken out all insurance policies for our passengers in accordance with the German Air Traffic Act. Additional insurance by the passenger is therefore not necessary. Our pilots are all DHV-certified tandem pilots and have above-average skills and experience.
Of course you can record your flight with your own camera or a camera. However, sometimes passengers are so focused on taking photos that they don’t fully enjoy the actual experience. That’s why Tandemfliegen Chiemgau offers a professional photo service. For €30 you get HD-quality photos or videos of your flight transferred to your mobile phone or an 8GB memory card.
Of course children and teenagers can go tandem paragliding!
If you weigh at least 35 kg and your parents sign a declaration of consent, we will be happy to take you up in the air. If you are 18 or over, you alone decide whether you want to fly or not.
Please let us know at least one week before your desired date! Of course we will try to make your tandem flight possible at short notice, but especially in the period from June to August it can happen that we have to postpone your appointment!
In the event of non-compliance with the agreed dates, as well as cancelations less than 24 hours before the flight date, the voucher will expire or the pilot will charge the full flight price. Delays of more than 30 minutes after the agreed flight time are deemed to be non-compliance.
The “foehn” phenomenon has a special significance for paragliding. It’s nice when the foehn blows, but the paraglider stays on the ground.
“It’s lovely when the Föhn blows”—that, however, is more of a piece of folk wisdom.
Those outside the aviation community tend to find the Föhn quite pleasant; it is perceived as a warm, sunny wind that blows down from the mountains—sometimes quite vigorously.
In aviation circles, however, the defining prerequisite for a Föhn situation is a significant difference in atmospheric pressure between the northern and southern sides of the Alps.
Föhn means “stay on the ground”. The wind flowing down from the mountains is normally too strong and very turbulent air is to be expected.
